As Ruth and Dennis are members of Australia's Open Garden Scheme they are pleased to advise their garden will be open to the public on 12-13 November 2011 and again in February and regular intervals during 2012.
Entry fee is $6.00 part of which is dedicated to funding community projects. The scheme is a self-funding, not for profit organisation dedicated to promoting the knowledge and pleasure of gardening. In November there is also a $15.00 fee available which covers entry to our garden, another in Cygnet and one in Egg and Bacon Bay.
Visitors are welcome to relax and enjoy the beautiful views to Bruny island and the D'Entrecastreaux Channel. Garden and art lovers will be greeted by a riot of colour from the late spring early summer blooms as well as a surprise selection of Norman Lindsey works along with new garden creations and paintings by Ruth.There will also be a plant stall of herbs the proceeds of sales from these and coffee/teas will go to Lifeline.
Visitors in September enjoyed a a lovely day in the gardens admiring the spring flowers, garden ornaments and exploring the garden gallery. Many paintings and floral gift cards featuring flowers in the gardens were bought, while the proceeds of herb plants and refreshments went to the Red Cross.
By popular demand, Ruth and Dennis did conduct a seminar in Brisbane in November 2009.
